As you may recall, at the very beginning of Barron's, there is a "diagnostic test". This is meant to let you know which areas you understand clearly, and which areas you need to focus on studying.
Here's what to do this week:
- Take the diagnostic test
- Analyze your performance: what kinds of questions, and/or periods in US history did you do well on? What did you do badly on?
- Based on this, write "game plan" for the rest of the semester (that is, up to December 19th). What do you want to focus on studying between now and then?
- Post your analysis and game plan as a comment on this blog post.
Here are two things to make your life easier/less stressful:
- During lunch on Thursday, December 4th I will host a "diagnostic test" party in my classroom, with snacks. You can take the diagnostic test right then and there. Once that's done, your analysis and game plan shouldn't take more than a half an hour.
- Even if you do terribly on this diagnostic, don't let it stress you out. You still have five months to prepare for the SAT II!
Once again, just so we're clear, post your analysis and game plan below, as a comment on this blog post!
