My first visit today was to Wild Willow Farm and Education Center, a working organic farm that also hosts visits from schools. Roxanna and Sierra are interning at Wild Willow - I found the two of them eating lunch with the rest of the crew around a communal table in a tent. They gave me a tour of the farm - early on we discovered that a couple of chickens were roaming even more freely than was intended. We saw the chicken coop and Sierra returned a few to their enclosure, then we visited the goats. You can read more about this internship on Sierra's blog and Roxanna's blog.
Here are some photos from the farm:

Next, I went to Bonita to see Brandon R at Koala Financial. They're giving him a thorough financial grounding on everything from working out percentages to understanding the impact of quantitative easing on their clients' retirement plans. You can read more on Brandon's blog.
Here's Brandon on the job - in his own words, "I would smile but I personally don't like to smile".

I ended the day visiting Nayel at South Bay Family Chiropractic. I got to see the chiropracter, Dr. Biscotti, in action! Nayel's interested in pursuing some kind of sports medicine, and she tells me she's learned a huge amount already. I completely forgot to get a photo, but you can read more about Nayel's internship on her blog here.
