tPOL Structure
What to talk about in your presentation
If you are using a Google Presentation...
- Your tPOL will take place between Thursday, June 11th and Tuesday, June 16th at HTHCV. You will set the time with your team teachers and internship mentor.
- Your mentor will attend your tPOL.
- You should wear tPOL attire.
tPOL Structure
- Student gives presentation about internship (see "What to talk about in your presentation" below) (7-10 minutes)
- Mentor feedback, audience questions, and further discussion (10-13 minutes)
What to talk about in your presentation
- Describe your main role and duties during your internship
- Explain the project you have been working on during your internship, including at least one artifact and/or image.
- Describe the skills & experience you had coming into this internship that were most useful (describe a specific situation when a skill was useful)
- Describe the most important skills you have developed during this internship (describe a specific situation where you used a new skill)
- Argue for the importance of your position with the organization, and make a case for the organization taking more high school interns in the future
- Describe one thing you have learned about yourself, and/or life from your internship that you will take with you into senior year and beyond
If you are using a Google Presentation...
- You have lots of great photos from your photo essay. USE THEM. Photos are much more interesting than text.
